what is it that you see? (part II – the world)

have you ever wondered,

when you are awake

what is it that you see?

pick any object you like

a chair or a pen

a flower or a body,

the moon

it doesn’t matter

look at that object and see

how far is it from your perception of it?

how far is it from your consciousness of it?

how far is it from your own consciousness?

take a close look and see

as if for the first time

leave rationality – which is just thoughts – aside

put logic – which is just thoughts – to rest

shut off belief – which is just thoughts – for a moment

see!

~

is there any distance – at all

between that object and your perception of it?

between that object and your consciousness?

no

if there was, your perception would not “touch” the object

and therefore would not perceive it

your consciousness would not “touch” the object

and therefore would not be conscious of it

there is no distance between perception and its object

meaning, there is no separation

no duality

there is really not an object and the perception of it

because they are one

there is only the perception

taking the shape of moon

or table

or anything

~

now, the devil in your mind

meaning, the devil as your mind

(it’s the only devil there is)

may say

well, perception is one with the image of the object,

but the object itself lies beyond my perception of it,

it is independent of it

well

can you ever perceive

or experience

such an object?

can you perceive an object

outside of your perception of it?

can you be conscious of anything

even of yourself

outside of your own consciousness?

if not, why talk of an external reality

that forever

and ever

will remain unexperienced and unproved?

some say that the absence

of an external reality

is a theory

when in fact

it is the existence of an external reality

that is a theory,

and

being forever unprovable

acquires more the quality of a myth

that is

that which is said to exist

without absolutely no evidence for it

and no possibility thereof

~

all objects are one

with the perception of them

with the consciousness of them

so

all that is ever experienced

is perception itself

all that is ever experienced

is consciousness itself

the moon is consciousness

the cup of tea

the table the people the room

all is consciousness

all is my own very self

I, the consciousness

I, the perceiving

all experience is of my self

everything perceived is only consciousness

in how many parts can consciousness be divided?

of how many parts is perception made of?

none, really

reality is ever one single piece of pure perception

the uncarved block of consciousnessing

all there is myself

consciousness

pure perception

seeing
